Hi, I’m Cailey! The groomer behind Gentle Paws In-Home Grooming.
With over seven years of professional grooming experience, I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and needs. This includes seniors, anxious dogs, and those needing some extra love and care.
Through my experience, I’ve found that many dogs thrive best in familiar surrounding with a calm, patient approach — which is why I created Gentle Paws In-Home Grooming.
I believe grooming should never feel rushed or stressful. By working one-on-one in your home, I’m able to focus entirely on your dog’s comfort, safety, and well-being.

While I’m based in Ottawa and proudly serve clients throughout the city, I also travel regularly to the North Shore & surrounding areas for grooming. These visits run on a rotating 6-week schedule and are an important part of how I support my extended grooming community. Upcoming dates are posted below and on facebook.

Traditional salons can be overwhelming for many dogs. In-home grooming allows your pet to remain in a familiar space, eliminating car rides, crates, and loud environments.
This calm, one-on-one approach is ideal for dogs who benefit from patience, routine, and gentle handling.
I bring everything needed for a full professional groom and and set up in a space that works best for you—typically a bathroom, laundry room, or kitchen area (outdoors when weather allows it).
I take a few moments to say hello and help your dog feel at ease before we begin.

When we’re finished, I clean up completely, snap a few photos if your dog is comfortable, and head out — leaving your home just as I found it and your pup looking great!

Prices depend on several factors: your dog's size, coat condition, and behavior, as well as the time needed for a safe and comfortable groom. I also factor in travel time, setting up, and cleaning up. Time estimates cover everything, including prepping and tidying up.
Final price and time needed will be confirmed at the time of your appointment, which may change if the groom takes longer, or requires special care. If a dog gets too stressed or becomes unsafe, we might need to adjust or stop the grooming. This way, we aim to make grooming a good experience for all dogs, especially puppies, older dogs, and those who get anxious.

Cailey did amazing with my 13 year old fear agressive dog, Jasper. I truly can't believe it.
I didn't think I would be able to find him another groomer after our last groomer retired. He will not let me clip his nails or his fur and his hair was getting really long and I knew it was bothering him.
Cailey was calm and professional and came prepared with everything you'd need for grooming. Jasper was quite nervous at first but she didn't give up on him and she was able to a full groom and clip his nails.
